Oh Yeah - househunt
On Monday we saw two places. The first place was the bank sale house. Adam & I aren't a big fan of the garden-in-the front plot layout. It had an unfinished basement, a cramped first floor layout, and a kitchen we would want to (and could afford to) remodel before we moved in. Biggest drawback to this house was actually the master bed/bath situation - lots of wasted space in the bathroom that could have been better utilized in the BR. Location was great, but we weren't gung-ho. Got a call from our realtor on Wednesday informing us that the house was sold. At the price it was listed, we weren't at all surprised that it got sold in under a week.
Second place was in Pemburton Gates. There was a cool entranceway and very neighbohr-hoody feel to the community. Big fan of the gated parking area as well. House was only two stories and the BRs were freakishly small. The bathrooms and kitchen were in need of some serious updating and the place didn't have a basement, so we had some serious closet/storage issues. Such a bummer...
Just to keep life interesting, Adam & I have agreed that we would be open to renting a townhouse instead of buying... partly because there just isn't much on the market, and also because we are both seriously considering a European relocation - meaning I will start looking for work, outside of this job I just learned about.... INTRIGUE!
