Out of our Hands Now.....
We went back on Tuesday to see the house on Haverford Road. I wanted to see if my solution would work for the closet/bathroom situation in the masterbedroom. We also wanted to get a sense for how noisy it was on the road and what we thought of everything in daylight.
My bathroom/closet solution didn't really work because I had forgotten about the staircase to the attic that was in the way. Our realtor had an easy solution to the closet and the master bathroom wasn't in as bad shape as I remembered it. The street was much noisier than we were expecting. Adam was concerned about the noise bothering us. After living for 5 years over JFK blvd, I didn't think it was a big deal. But I was worried about resale ability....
We left very on the fence with neither of us knowing whether we should make an offer or not. The issue is a moot point now - this morning our realtor emailed us that the house had been sold. So that's that.
We were in Collingswood, NJ for dinner on Friday night. We were both impressed with the cute center of town and the proximity to Philly - took us 15min to get back home. Of course, in rush hour traffic, we couldn't get to work that quickly, but we wouldn't be driving anyway - so it wouldn't matter... Not sure if we will look for real estate in South Jersey now as well, but I think its worth considering....
