Picking up Speed...
So, we contacted the realtor yesterday that we met in early November and are officially starting our townhouse search. He sent us a bunch of listing and I gave them the 4 or 5 that we were intersted in seeing. He's making appointments and we will be going on Saturday. There was only one that I was really interested in, but the rest will give us a feel for what we will and will help the realtor to show us additional townhouses that are more inline with our needs.
Even with photos posted on the internet, it is difficult to tell whether or not we would like places. Most of the postings we received had 6 photos, 1 or 2 of the outside (front & either yard or porch) and then 4 inside. Some don't show the kitchen (which makes us nervous) a few exclude the bedrooms... its very inconsistent. And, closet space is, of course, impossible to gauge online.
We are alos learning to navigate through "realtor language" -- words like "creative layout" (Translation: crappy layout) "vaulted BR" (room that is teeny tiny) and "unique" (translation: ugly or old)... are making this a learning experience.
