Some TV distractions...
We have friends that are also big Netflix watchers.... I used to work with the guy and he would always mention that he and his wife were watching a show called "the L word" the night before.... he kept mentioning this show, so I added it to my Queue. I just started watching a week ago... I had NO IDEA this showtime program was really lesbian soft-core porn with a plot!!! Adam came in the family room to grab a bite to week last Saturday and walked in during the middle of a threesome. During the 2 hour pilot there were at least 8 sex scenes, mainly girl/girl, with one 3some and plenty of extra breast shots thrown in. This show is pretty nutty! Definitely been an interesting change of pace. Random, I know -- thought I would share!
I have been in a good mood for the past few days because Netflix is releasing the third season of "The 4400" on May 8th, which is just around the corner. Very excited - especially since the fourth season picks up again this summer. I still haven't found a way to talk about this show to people who are unfamiliar with it without sounding like the biggest sci-fi geek. I swear the day-to-day plot lines aren't very sci-fi-esque, but the larger plot of these 4400 people abducted at various times throughout history from all over the globe AND being put back at once at one location (having been abducted and replaced by the future - not aliens) does sound pretty ridiculous!!!
Also in TV news.... there are only three episodes of Gilmore Girls left. Really bums me out -- especially because they are ending on the very typically/cheesy story arch of Rori (the college senior) being proposed to by her boyfriend - so lame and uncreative!!!
