WE LOVED IT!!!!!
Our realtor called last night at 5:20 to say, "It looks pretty bad out there, do you still want to go out?" I figured, that if he was going to cancel he would do it before 4pm, so I told him that we didn't have to see all of the places tonight (we were planning to see 5 or 6), but could we PLEASE see the place on Kimball Street. There was no way I could wait until Saturday to see the place that was supposed to be "the one".
We fell in love immediately! We weren't even halfway through the house by the time we knew. We just looked at each other and said "this is it". Normally, I would post photos here on this site for everyone to see, but since FLICKR allows you to post additional descriptions, I just left all of the photos there. We do have some reservations about whether or not we can afford it. We had been saying we wanted a mortgage payment around what we are paying in rent now. This place would mean a mortgage that is a couple hundred dollars more a month... that's before higher electric costs, and gas/water, that we haven't had to pay in the past.... We'll be going over our finances tonight to give us some peace of mind.
Update: Our realtor called last night after he spoke to the selling agent. They aren't sure if we saw the cheapest or the most expensive of the 7 units that this developer is selling. We don't quite know what that means, so we will wait to learn more today. We find it extremely frustrating that our realtor didn't do his homework before taking us to this place, that he himself said, we were sure to love.
