When did I become "Suzy Homemaker"?
I have cooked three dinners, unchaperoned by Adam in the past week. Wow! I normally average about one meal a month, and that is usually with some supervision. I have made stuffed shells, Minestrone, and tried a new recipe - Chicken Pot Pie, No Pie (it's a pot of the filing, minus the step of baking the mixture in a pie shell)
Stuffed shells is the first dinner I learned how to cook. I used to make them about once a month when I was younger so my mom wouldn't have to cook dinner when she came home from work. I joked with Adam that the other two recipes aren't really "cooking" as much as "prepping", because both call for alot of veggie cutting into a big simmering pot. I do have to pat mysefl on the back though for finally learning how to season - that has always been the most difficult for me and my food used to turn out pretty bland.
I already warned Adam that he shouldn't get too comfortable this new arrangement - I'm sure its short lived.
