I spent Fathers Day biking along the Lambertville D&E canal with my dad & Margit, and of course, Barney, their adorable yorkie puppy, who they seem to take everywhere with them. I wouldn't mind them bringing the dog with them, except that they have turned into "THOSE" people, (you know the type)... they call themselves "Mom" and "Papa" to the dog, and actually made reference to Barney being my brother (GAG ME). Its especially unusual to hear coming from my dad.
Anyway... we biked a few miles along the canal and then enjoyed a tasty lunch on the back porch of the Lambertville Station Restaurant.
We spent Easter weekend (it feels like AGES ago!) with my dad and that clan... we hadn't seen any of them since a birthday party in early January, so we were overdue to show our faces. We learned that one of my stepsisters is pregnant again (due in Sept) so Adam and I are off the hook for a little while longer -- I have been saying that we won't start having kids until my two stepsisters are done, so I can have all their baby stuff....
The best part of the day was the puppet show that my sister and Colin put on for the kiddies. It was absolutely hysterical. Never would I have thought that someone could work in a joke about the Republicans in Congress into a zoo puppet show - well done, Colin!
Also quite amusing, was trying to get four kids under the age of 5 to sit still and look at the camera at the same time - this is the best we could do. Julian is such a clown! He was making silly faces like this the whole time!!
My dad had a great idea to take a picture of all of the siblings - we haven't done that since my wedding a year and half ago. It wasn't any easier to get all of us looking at the right camera.
I almost forgot - we also had a lot of fun playing with Barney, the newest addition to the family. He's so big compared to the photos my dad sent in January. He is such a puppy - so full of energy!
My cold subsided just in time for me to enjoy two full days of skiing with everyone else. The skiing was fabulous, we even got to enjoy 5 inches of fresh-fallen snow on Saturday. And, much to our relief, Nicole's on-again off-agin boyfriend wasn't as annoying to have around as we had feared.... although, I'm surprised my sister managed to find someone that actually takes longer to get ready than she does!!! very annoying.....
Kids are so much cuter when they aren't yours... and if you only spend a few hours with them. How cute are these two? These are my nephews that are both about 15 months old (and were born only 8 days apart).
This is how Papa & Adam spent the majority of Julian's birthday. Hmmm.... looks like we will be getting a fusse(sp?)-table for our basement as soon as we have a house! I couldn't put up a photo of Anton & Eric without putting up some photos of their big brother/sister. There sure will be a lot of kiddies running around by the time Nicole & I add to the bunch.
