We have probably sent his resume to 20+ people - everyone we can think of... former Janney employees, people that they know, college friends, acquiantences, Lise &amp; Susie (thanks guys!) -- but nothing.&#160; In many cases, the follow-up is difficult and you just have to hope that the resume got in the right hands.&#160; Seeing as he hasn&#39;t heard from anyone, it doesn&#39;t look like that has often been the case.&#160; The guy at Merrill was nice enough to put Adam in touch with two headhunters - unfortunately, the one already came back to him and told him that they wouldn&#39;t have anything until January - YUCK!&#160; We already knew that lots of firms would wait until after bonuses get paid out before they hire anyone.&#160; I think that&#39;s the biggest hurdle Adam&#39;s facing.&#160; So that&#39;s that.</p> <p>For those that we haven&#39;t told already - Adam and I are subletting the second BR/BTH in our apartment.&#160; Our tenant is a guy named Neal.&#160; He is a Dickinson graduate who interned at Janney in the Research department about 3 years ago.&#160; He now works at Janney in the Investment Banking department -- working crazy hours.&#160; The commute from Pottstown is about an hour, so he was just looking for a place to crash during the week.&#160; Its nice because he will be there when I&#39;m not, and the money we are getting from him is going to help defray the costs of my EVENTUAL sublet in NYC.&#160; </p> <p style="clear:both;"> <a href="http://heike.vox.com/library/post/keeping-up-with-adam.html?_c=feed-rss-full#comments">Read and post comments</a> | <a href="http://www.vox.com/share/6a00c225279d8e604a00c225299d988fdb?_c=feed-rss-full">Send to a friend</a> </p> adam jobhunt
