Ran out of three different types of tea during the last two days - a near crisis! So, I went tea shopping today. Came home with an old favorite (black w/ cranberry & orange) and two new ones: Black w/ peaches, and black w/ strawberry & Papaya.
Clearly, I am fond of black/fruit blends. Brewing a cup of the black peach now. Smells yummy!
Finally took the time to stop in my local tea store. I've run out of three different teas in the last few weeks and have been too swamped to get away.
Today I bought an old favorite - Blueberry/Mango (green); and three new ones - Exotic Fruit (black), tangerine (white tea), and, Raspberry & Black Currant (green/white tea).... a nice diverse smattering of flavors. Yum!
OK, I'm starting to sound slightly obsessed.... I admit it.
My good friend Jen just sent me a very cool link to something called Rari Teas that I had to share. Check this out!!! The tea has been tied together in a way so that it blooms in your mug!!!!! Can you tell I'm excited?
Jen also had a phenomenal idea to find a tea shop to study in - such a smarty pants!!!!
(Can you tell I'm working from home and have been blog-deprieved?)
As I have written about before I LOVE TEA. My inner-tea-snob didn't really come out until after a loose tea shop opened up in walking distance of my apartment/office. I ran some errands at lunch yesterday and I felt like such a little European. I stopped at my favorite produce place Sue's, picked up some new cheese and DiBruno's and ducked in to the tea store for a treat.
I ended up with Earl-Grey Green, which tastes delicious, and Green Papaya Pineapple, which I haven't tried yet. I'm trying to broaden my tea horizon - I drink a whole lot of black tea and need to add a little variety to things....
I was actually on a mission to find the mother-of-all travel thermos's to use for exam-studying. I have been on a mission to find a new study-locale (home and the office have too many distractions). On Saturday, Adam and I took a little roadtrip and tried studying at the Public LIbrary a few blocks away. We were only there for 3 hours and I ran out of tea far too quickly. The last week before the exam, I will be hiding out studying somewhere ALL DAY - I can't do that without tea!!!!
Yesterday, while I was running some errands at lunch, I stopped in to get some tea - one of my favorite errands. I think I may have a tea addiction! I came back with Black Tea w/ Strawberries and Citris Earl Grey. My favorites are still Black w/ Cranberry Orange and Blueberry Mango Sencha, but the new ones are delicious.
Check out my drawer of tea! With my electric teapot and electric cup warmer, I have a great tea-setup!
