Show us what you hope Santa brings you.
Unfortunately, Santa is my only hope for this present, since it comes with a $1,400 sticker price. This is the dresser that matches the Armoire that I am in LOVE with. We bought the Armoire this summer using my bonus money. I'm hoping we use part of my February bonus to get the matching dresser (in the darker finish, not shown).
Show us your favorite winter activity.
SO EASY!!!! The only reason I like this season is SKIING!!!!
And of course, skiing with a flask of pear schnapps, can only make it better!
My parents put me on skies at an early age. Its become a nice activity that allows me to bond with my dad and sister. I plan on throwing our kids onto skies at an early age too!
We are trying to go skiing for NYE, but its probably going to be tough to find a hotel room in VT this late in the game.
Show us one of your Thanksgiving traditions.
Adam and I have 4 families to juggle, so we don't really have a standing Thanksgiving tradition.
At my dad & Margit's (in recent years) the tradition has been that the grandchildren hover around the island and watch as he carves the bird. AND, as always, Colin and I lurck nearby waiting to pounce and steal a tasty morsel (we do this at just about every family meal where there is somethign worth nibbling on).
Show us your favorite doctor.
I know, I know, she's not a "real" doctor -- but I LOVE Bailey, the character that Chandra Wilson plays on Grey's Anatomy -- I thought it was crap that she didn't win an Emmy (is that the right award?) and it went to the pretty blond who plays Izzie instead. Chandra rocks!
While I'm on the topic of Grey's Anatomy, I love that "Richard Gilmore" (no idea what the actor's real name is), is on as a first-year intern. It's a nice change of pace from the stuffy character he played on Gilmore Girls - he's doing a great job of being bumbly, loveable, intern trying to sound hip and blend in. It's a nice addition to the cast!
Video: Show us a music video you'd gladly watch over and over again.
I JUST CAN'T GET ENOUGH OF THIS VIDEO! It is freakin' hilarious!!!!
Show us a photo that requires an explanation.
Last May we took a trip to Germany - we visited my family and spent some time traveling around the Black Forest. The weather wasn't very cooperative, but we had a nice time. German's are very law-abiding citizens and jaywalking is very "Verboten" - my dad jaywalks when he is there (US influence rubbing off on him), but I never see anyone else do it - even if it is late at night and no cars are coming!!!
We were in Kasel for a day, and I jaywalked, because there weren't any cars coming. Once I crossed, I turned around and realized that Adam waiting like the rest of the good-lil' Germans for the light to change. I took this photo because Adam is scowling just like the little old lady standing next to him!

Me and My Papa (NYE 2001).... Straight off the boat, baby!!!! My dad didn't actually even visit the US until my mom brought him over for their wedding (1976), Poor guy didn't know what he was in for. I was born there too! We moved to the States in the Spring of 1980 because my Mom got homesick.
Adam calls him "the Fuzy German".... always good for a chuckle... It sounds mean, but my sister and I like to mock his accent when we relay to one another a conversation we had with him. I must say, mine is pretty good. Nicole's, not so much... sometimes, she makes him sound Chinses.
Love you PAPA!
